Construction stage inspections are independent quality checks carried out at the key milestones of your new build: slab, frame, lockup and fixing. At each stage, a licensed builder-inspector — many of ours have engineering backgrounds — visits your construction site, examines the work against the approved plans and current Australian Standards, and reports before the next stage covers it up.
Timing is everything in construction. Reinforcement placed incorrectly disappears under concrete; framing faults vanish behind plasterboard. Once concealed, these defects are expensive and disruptive to expose and repair. Inspecting at each stage means problems are corrected while they are still simple, visible and the builder's clear responsibility.
This service suits anyone building a new home in Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, the Gold Coast or Moreton Bay who wants oversight that is genuinely independent of the builder. Each visit produces a certified photographic report on the same day.

Frequently asked questions
What do construction stage inspections cost?
Individual stage inspections start from $500 — for example, a slab or foundation stage inspection is from $500, and frame stage from $550 for a single-storey home. Most clients book the full set of stages; contact us for a package quote tailored to your build.
Which stages should I have inspected?
We recommend all four key stages — slab, frame, lockup and fixing — plus a handover (PCI) inspection at completion. Each stage conceals the one before it, so skipping a stage leaves a permanent blind spot. If budget is tight, slab and frame are the most critical because they cover the structure.
How quickly do I get each stage report?
Every stage inspection receives a certified report on the same day as the visit. Builders often only pause briefly between stages, so same-day reporting ensures your rectification list reaches them before the next stage starts covering the work.
Can you inspect if my builder resists third-party inspections?
Yes. You are entitled to engage an independent inspector for your own build, and access is arranged with reasonable notice through the builder or site supervisor. Our inspectors are QBCC-licensed (licence 15014911), insured and experienced on active construction sites, and we conduct every visit professionally and cooperatively.
What happens when you find a defect mid-build?
The defect is photographed, described and referenced against the plans or relevant standard in your stage report, which you forward to the builder for rectification. We can then re-inspect to confirm the fix before the next stage proceeds. This paper trail is invaluable if any dispute arises later.
